Answer:

Proteins, liver, osmotic pressure/oncotic pressure,  into the blood, decrease / drop.

Explanation:

Example of plasma proteins are Albumin,which forms  the largest percentage.others are globulin fibrinlogen,fibrin, peptide hormones etc They are synthesized and produce by the liver.

Apart from the transport , and immune response function, the physiological function of  Plasma protein is the formation of oncotic pressure which  helps to retain fluid in the blood, thus prevent the escape of water and body fluid through the capillaries membranes,endothelial and fenestration,  as hydrostatic pressure forces  blood through the capillaries for  exchange. <u>This increases osmotic potential of the blood plasma in relations to surrounding cells and tissue.</u>

<u />

In absence  of Plasma protein, the oncotic pressure drops, and as blood flow through the capillaries exchange the hydrostatic pressure  of the blood forces water and fluid out  from the capillaries into the cells, leading to swelling of the cells (Oedema.)

Answer:

Proteins, Liver, Osmotic, Fluid, Into The Blood, Decrease.

Explanation:

Blood is considered a colloid because it contains proteins in the plasma.

Most of these are produced by the liver.

Collectively, these substances exert osmotic pressure and prevent the loss of fluid from the blood as it moves through the capillaries.

The pressure exerted by the plasma proteins is called colloid osmotic pressure.

This force is responsible for moving fluids into the blood and preventing excess fluid loss between blood capillaries and the interstitial fluid.

If plasma protein levels decrease, colloid osmotic pressure will decrease.

A bird is flying in the air at a 4 m/s. If the mass of the bird is 7kg what is it’s kinetic energy
yaroslaw [1]

Answer: The kinetic energy of the flying bird is 56 Joules.

Explanation:

Mass of the bird  = 7 kg

Velocity of the flying bird = 4 m/s

Kinetic energy of the bird will be given by :

K.E.=\frac{1}{2}mv^2

K.E.=\frac{1}{2}\times 7 kg\times (4 m/s)^2=56 Joules

The kinetic energy of the flying bird is 56 Joules.

Which of the following processes is NOT properly matched with its description?
Viefleur [7K]

Answer:

External respiration: CO2 diffuses into the blood

Explanation:

External respiration is also called the pulmonary gas exchange. It refers to the diffusion of O2 from the air in the alveoli of the lungs to blood in pulmonary capillaries and diffusion of CO2 in the opposite direction from the capillary blood into the alveolar air. External respiration in the lungs is responsible for oxygenation of deoxygenated blood coming from the right side of the heart. The oxygenated blood is then returned to the left side of the heart.

DNA is transcribed to messenger RNA (mRNA), and the mRNA is translated to proteins on the ribosomes. A sequence of three nucleot
Maru [420]

Answer:

start codon - AUG

in-sequence amino acid - AAA, UGC, AUC, CAC, GCA, ACU

stop codon - UAA, UAG, UGA

Explanation:

From the amino acid chart, the start codon is represented by the codon AUG which also code for the amino acid methionine. There are three stop codons including UAA, UAG, and UGA. The stop codons signal the end of the translation process of the mRNA. Every other codon within the mRNA chain codes for different amino acids except methionine.

Hence, using the attached amino acid chart:

start codon - AUG

in-sequence amino acid - AAA, UGC, AUC, CAC, GCA, ACU

stop codon - UAA, UAG, UGA
