Answer:

1) The density of air at 40 degrees Celsius and 3 atm pressure is 3.4 g/L.

2) Molecular mass of linanyl acetate  is 196 g/mol.

Explanation:

1) Average molecular weight of an air ,M= 28.97 g/mol

PV=nRT

or PM=dRT

P = Pressure of the gas

T = Temperature of the gas

d = Density of the gas

M = molar mass of the gas

R = universal gas constant

P = 3 atm, T = 40°C = 313.15 K, M = 28.97 g/mol

d=\frac{PM}{RT}=\frac{3 atm \times 28.97 g/mol}{0.0821 atm L/ mol K\times 313.15 K}

d = 3.4 g/mL

The density of air at 40 degrees Celsius and 3 atm pressure is 3.4 g/L.

2) Molecular formula of Linanyl acetate = C_{12}H_{20}O_2

Atomic mass sof carbon  = 12.01 g/mol

Atomic mass of hydrogen = 1.01 g/mol

Atomic mass of oxygen  = 16.00 g/mol

Molecular mass of  Linanyl acetate :

12\times 12.01 g/mol+20\times 1.01 g/mol+2\times 16.00 g/mol =196.32 g/mol \approx 196 g/mol

A 453 g piece of glass at 25.7∘C is left outside on a sunny day. How much heat must the glass absorb from the sun in order to re
Tju [1.3M]

Answer:

Q = 5555.6J

Explanation:

Mass of glass piece, m = 453g

initial temperature = 25.7°C

temperature to be attained = 40.3°C

⇒change in temperature, Δt = 40.3 - 25.7 = 14.6°C

specific heat of glass, s = 0.840J/g°C

Heat absorbed, Q = msΔt

⇒Q = 453×0.840×14.6 = 5555.592J

⇒<u>Q = 5555.6J</u> (rounded to the nearest tenth)

All help is needed, thanks
yarga [219]

Answer:

  1. smoke
  2. marshmallow
  3. paint
  4. Body spray

Explaination:

Firstly, what are colloids?

Colloids are a mixture of two substances:

  • one of those substances are insoluble and inseparable

There are 4 types of colloids:

  • Sol- Solid in a liquid
  • Emulsion- Liquid in a liquid
  • Foam- Gas in solid/liquid
  • Aerosol- Solid/liquid in gas

So on to the answers:

  • Smoke consists of solid and gas and since the solid is being carried by the gas, it is a solid in a gas (aerosol)
  • Marshmellow consists of tiny air bubbles and sugar(solid), the air bubbles is inside the solid making it a gas in a solid (foam)
  • Body spray turns gas into liquid after spraying it through the can, making it a liquid in a gas (aerosol)
  • Paint dries up to become solid which makes it a solid is a liquid (sol)

Hope y'all understand

Which statement describes the location of metalloids on the periodic table? The metalloids are located below metals and above no
Talja [164]
The metalloids are Boron, Silicon, Geranium, etc and are found to the right of the metals and the left of the nonmetals. Since that is not an option, the best choice would be: The metalloids are located below nonmetals and above metals within a group.

Precision Problems:
Lorico [155]

Answer:

Precision = 2.70 \± 0.1\ cm

Explanation:

Given

The data in the table

Required

Follow the steps appended to the question;

Step 1: Calculate the Mean or Average

Mean = Summation of lengths divided by number of teams;

Mean = \frac{2.65 + 2.75 + 2.80 + 2.77 + 2.60 + 2.65 + 2.68}{7}\ cm

Mean = \frac{18.9}{7}\ cm

Mean = 2.70\ cm

Step 2: Get The Range

Range = Highest - Lowest

Range = 2.80cm - 2.60cm

Range = 0.2\ cm

Step 3: Divide Range by 2

Approximate\ Range = \frac{1}{2}Range

Approximate\ Range = \frac{1}{2} * 0.2\ cm

Approximate\ Range = 0.1\ cm

Step 4: Determine the Precision

Precision = Average \± Approximate\ Range

Substitute 2.70 for Average and 0.1 for Approximate Range

Precision = 2.70 \± 0.1\ cm
