Answer: Marco Polo  was a Venetian merchant. explorer, and writer who travelled through Asia along the Silk Road between 1271 and 1295. His travels are recorded in The Travels of Marco Polo (also known as Book of the Marvels of the World and Il Million, c. 1300), a book that described to Europeans the then mysterious culture and inner workings of the Eastern world, including the wealth and great size of the Mongol Empire and China in the Yuan Dynasty, giving their first comprehensive look into China, Persia, India, Japan and other Asian cities and countries.

Explanation: Born in Venice, Marco learned the mercantile trade from his father and his uncle, Niccolò and Maffeo, who travelled through Asia and met Kublai Khan. In 1269, they returned to Venice to meet Marco for the first time. The three of them embarked on an epic journey to Asia, exploring many places along the Silk Road until they reached Cathay (China). They were received by the royal court of Kublai Khan, who was impressed by Marco's intelligence and humility. Marco was appointed to serve as Khan's foreign emissary, and he was sent on many diplomatic missions throughout the empire and Southeast Asia, such as in present-day Burma, India, Indonesia, Sri Lanka and Vietnam. As part of this appointment, Marco also traveled extensively inside China, living in the emperor's lands for 17 years and seeing many things that had previously been unknown to Europeans.

Predict what will be observed in each experiment below. experiment predicted observation (choose one) A student sees tiny bubble
Svet_ta [14]

Answer: In the first Experiment, when the student opens the bottle and the gas escaped, it may escape with some portion of the soft drink, as it is under pressure, then the bubble will shrink and some may vanish. This is because the gas under pressure has escaped from the drink, thereby reducing the pressure in the drink.

For the second Experiment, when the student squeeze the bottle, he will increase the pressure of the gas in the soft drink, which makes the bubbles to grow and some will appear. This is because the squeezing of the bottle has tend to increase the motion of the gas in the bottle, which made the pressure to increase, and more bubbles to appear.

Explanation: bubbles in a drink is as a result of increase in the pressure of the gas in the drink. This gas will rise to the top of the bottle, as their want to escape from the bottle, their will rise with some portion of the drink, which we see as bubbles in the drink.

In some jurisdictions, police officers are much more likely to stop African American males than White males for routine traffic
mr_godi [17]

Answer:

Driving while black

Explanation:

Driving While Black is a term used in contemporary U.S. vernacular.

Driving while black refers to the act of African American car drivers being racial profiled. It means that a police officer will stop a motorist solely because of racial bias, rather than any apparent breach of traffic law.

This occurs when police use traffic violations as an pretext to arrest African-Americans who have committed no crime, interrogate them, and search them and their cars. In these situations, police arrest the black drivers without the normal probable cause or reasonable suspicion provision.
