At the beginning of the shift at 7:00 am, a client has 650 ml of normal saline solution left in the intravenous bag, which is in

fusing at 125 ml/hr. at 9:30 am the healthcare provider changes the iv solution to lactated ringer solution, which is to infuse at 100 ml/hr. what total amount of intravenous solution should the client have received by the end of the 8-hour shift? record your answer using a whole number.

The 8 hour shift is from 7.00 am to 3.00 pm.
At the beginning, from 7.00 am to 9.30am (2.5 hrs.), the client has normal saline which is infusing at 125 ml/hr.
Hence amount of normal saline which was injected= 2.5 hrs. x 125 ml/hr.
                                                                                 = 312.5 ml
from 9.30am to 3.00 pm (5.5 hrs) lactated ringer solution, which is to infuse at 100 ml/hr was given.
Hence amount of lactated ringer solution given = 5.5 hrs x 100 ml/hr
                                                                           = 550 ml
Total amount of IV solution given = normal saline + lactated ringer solution
                                                     = 312.5 ml + 550 ml
                                                     = 862.5 ml
                                                     = 863 ml

How would having too much sample in the melting point tube most likely affect the melting point measurement? Select the correct
oksano4ka [1.4K]

Answer:

2-4 mm height of capillary tube.

Explanation:

Sample should be around 2-4 mm in height.

It should be packed well so that it does not have air packets that caues the lowering of melting point.

If you take greater amount, then there will be needed more heat, resulting a wide range of melting point.

Lunna [17]

Answer:

The mass of this 25 mL supercritical CO2 sample has a mass of 11.7g

Explanation:

Step 1: Given data

The supercritical CO2 has a density of 0.469 g/cm³ (or 0.469 g/mL)

The sample hasa volume of 25.0 mL

Step 2: Calculating mass of the sample

The density is the mass per amount of volume

0.469g/cm³ = 0.469g/ml

The mass for a sample of 25.0 mL = 0.469g/mL * 25.0 mL = 11.725g ≈ 11.7g

The mass of this 25 mL supercritical CO2 sample has a mass of 11.7g
