The virial equation of state is not recommended to be used for polar compounds (asymmetrical compounds with non- zero dipole mom
Pepsi [2]

Answer:

True

Explanation:

*For polar and associated substances, methods based on four should be used four or more parameters, like analytical equation of state

*The term "analytical equation of state" implies that the function

It contains powers of v not greater than four.

*Most expressions are of the cubic type and are grouped into

the so-called cubic equations of state.

*Cubic EoS calls are very popular in simulation of

processes due to its robustness and its simple extension to mixtures.

*They are based on the van der Waals state equation of more than

100 years.

If a gas’s [kelvin] temperature doubles and it’s volume then remains the same, then what happens to it’s pressure?
Tamiku [17]

Answer:

The final pressure will double i.e it will be twice the initial pressure

Explanation:

T1 = T

T2 = 2T ( twice the original T)

P1 = P

P2 =?

Since the volume is constant,

P1/ T1 = P2 /T2

P/ T = P2 / 2T

Cross multiply

T x P2 = 2T x P

Divide both side by T

P2 = (2T x P) / T

P2 = 2P

Therefore, the final pressure will double i.e it will be twice the initial pressure

Which statement is true about water molecules?
Arte-miy333 [17]
1. The correct option is A, THE OXYGEN ATOM HAS A NEGATIVE CHARGE. A water molecule is made up of two atoms of hydrogen and one atom of oxygen. The molecules of water are arranged in such a way that, the negative hydrogen atom is attracted to the positive hydrogen atom and the overall structure is bent. Because oxygen is more electronegative than hydrogen, oxygen atom draws the shared electrons toward itself , this gives the oxygen end of the molecule a partial negative charge and the hydrogen end, a partial positive charge.

2. The correct option is: WITHOUT THE PROPER BALANCE OF WATER, CHEMICAL REACTIONS WILL NOT TAKE PLACE. Metabolic chemical reactions take place in living cells all the time because water, which is a necessary condition for the reaction is in place. Th fluids find in the cells are mostly water; water creates suitable conditions for biochemical reactions to take place. Without water, the cells will not be able to carry out any chemical reaction.

3. The correct option is A. Hydrogen bond allows oxygen and water molecules to be bonded together. Hydrogen bonds are weak interactions that formed between the hydrogen with a patial positive end and oxygen with a patial negative end. The hydrogen bond in water is responsible for the unique properties associated with water.
