The Lowest freezing point= 0.34 m urea

the highest  freezing point= 0.14m MnBr2

second lowest freezing point= 0.10m  AlCl3

third lowest freezing point= 0.12m CuCl2

Explanation:

The freezing point depression can be calculated from the formula:

T f = i*K *fm ( ΔTf is the freezing point depression, i is van't Hoff factor, Kf is the freezing point depression constant for the solvent

Van't Hoff factor is no of ions involved in reaction, for non electrolytes it is one

T of water = 1.86 degrees kg/ mole

so, 0.14 MnBr2

T= 1.86*3*0.14

    = 0.7812

T of 0.12 CuCl2

T= 1.86*3* 0.12

= 0.6696

T of 0.10 Alcl3

T = 1.86*4*0.10

T= 0.744

  • For 0.34 mole urea

T = 1.86*1*0.34

T = 0.6324

What happens to raisins or other dried fruits in breakfast cereals when you pour milk over them? why?
viktelen [127]
Dried fruits and raisins get terribly soggy after being drenched in milk for a long period of time. They act like a sponge, absorbing all of the milk up making them wet and "soggy". I prefer them to be like that when I eat my cereal in the morning.

Referring to the ground state orbital diagram of Fe and Fe3+, explain why iron is considered a ferromagnetic element.
krok68 [10]

Iron having Z=26 with electronic configuration as [Ar]3d^64s^2 has 6 electrons in the 3d shell wherein 5 electrons are aligned parallely and 1 electron as antiparallel.

Fe^3^+ having electronic configuration as [Ag]3d^5 has 5 electrons, all aligned in the same direction.

Iron, when kept in external magnetic field, the magnetic domains of the atom get aligned in one direction that means it becomes parallel and they remain parallel even after removing the magnetic field therefore, it is considered as ferromagnetic.

What is the volume of 6.9 mol oxygen (O2) gas at 233 K and a pressure of 4.0 atm? (The universal gas constant is 0.0821 L•atm/mo
Art [367]

Volume of Oxygen O2 would be 33 L.

Solution : Given information - Mole (n) = 6.9 mol

Pressure (P) = 4.0 atm

Temperature (T) = 233 K

Universal gas constant (R) = 0.0821 L.atm/mol.K

Volume(V) is unknown , which we need to find.

Volume can be calculated by using the Ideal gas equation which is :

PV = nRT (Ideal gas equation)

On rearranging the above formula we will get :

V = \frac{nRT}{P}

Where , P = pressure , V = volume , n = mole , R = universal gas constant , T = temperature.

We will plugin the values of P , n , R and T in the ideal gas equation and then calculate Volume (V)

V = \frac{nRT}{P}

V = \frac{(6.9mol\times 0.0821\frac{L.atm}{mol.K}\times 233K)}{4.0atm}

V = \frac{131.99217 L}{4.0}

V = 32.998 L or 33 L

Sarah added sugar to her iced tea, but it is not dissolving very quickly. Which can Sarah do to make the sugar dissolve faster?
mr Goodwill [35]
You didn't post options, but to make the sugar dissolve faster Sarah can stir the tea and/or heat it.

Hope this helped :)
