We are supposed to assume FC and AD is straight line
let's find all the angles

you already see the right angle is 90 degrees, you got that right
striaght line is 180 degrees

90+46+EF=180
136+EF=180
minus 136 both sides
EF=44
now we got another straight line
you did get that A F=46 because it is oposite

notice: AB=BC because same angle designition
so now we use
180+46+2AB=360
2AB=134
divide 2
AB=67=BC
AC=134 degrees
CAE=134+46+44=224
ABD=180 since straight line

a. 90
b. 224
c.134
d. 180

Find the coordinates of the point 7/10<br> of the way from A to B.
Artyom0805 [142]

Answer:

(2.6, -2.7)

Step-by-step Explanation:

Let X represent the point which is 7/10 of the way from A to B.

AX to XB = 7:10 = AX/XB = 7/10.

Formula for internal division to find the coordinates is:

x = \frac{mx_2 + nx_1}{m + n}

y = \frac{my_2 + ny_1}{m + n}

Where,

A(-4, -8) = (x_1, y_1)

B(12, 5) = (x_2, y_2)

m = 7, n = 10

Substitute the values above into the stated formula to find x and y coordinates as follows:

x = \frac{mx_2 + nx_1}{m + n}

x = \frac{7(12) + 10(-4)}{7 + 10}

x = \frac{84 - 40}{17}

x = \frac{44}{17}

x = 2.6

y = \frac{my_2 + ny_1}{m + n}

y = \frac{7(5) + 10(-8)}{7 + 10}

y = \frac{35 - 80}{17}

y = \frac{-45}{17}

y = -2.7

The coordinates of the point 7/10 of the way from A to B are (2.6, -2.7)

Find all solutions for a triangle with a = 6,b = 8, and A = 150°
levacccp [35]

Answer:

6/sin 150 = 8 / sin B

Step-by-step explanation:

6/sin 150 = 8 / sin B

sin 150 = 1/2 so you cross multiply to get 6 sin B = (1/2) • 8

6 sin B = 4

sin B = 4/6

B = inverse sin (4/6) = 42º or 138º

But both of those add to 150 to go over 180 so there are no solutions.

Back in geometry, you had that the larger angle of a triangle is opposite the longer side, right?  You can see that 150º can't be opposite 6 because then the angle opposite 8 would have to be larger than 150º which is impossible for a triangle.

Verify the identity <br> Cos^2x-Sin^2x=1-2sin^2x
jek_recluse [69]
Cos^2x-Sin^2x=1-2sin^2x  \\  Cos^2x-Sin^2=cos(2x) \\ 1-2sin^2=cos2x \\ cos(2x) =cos2x \\   \\ \\ Cos^2x-Sin^2x=1-2sin^2x  \\ \mathrm{cos^2x+sin^2x=1 ~~~\Rightarrow ~~cos^2x=1-sin^2x} } \\ 1-sin^2x-sin^2x=1-2sin^2x \\ 1-2sin^2x=1-2sin^2x
