Answer:

Two

Explanation:

In a double-replacement reaction, there will be two reactants and two products.

It is called double replacement reaction because one element in reactant 1 replaces an element in reactant 2 and other element in reactant 2 replaces other element in reactant 1.

Here two replacements are taking place. Hence, this is called double replacement reaction.

A Neutralization reaction i.e an Acid - Base reaction is a good example of Double replacement reaction.

An Example is provided below for better understanding :

HNO3 + NaOH --> NaNO₃ + H₂O.

Here HNO₃ is the acid and NaOH is the base which are the reactants.

NaNO₃ and H₂O are the products.

This is a double replacement reaction because,

Hydrogen(H) in HNO₃ replaces Sodium(Na) in NaOH, and

NO₃ in HNO₃ replaces OH in NaOH.

Here, there are 2 reactants and 2 products.

A balloon has a pressure of 3.1 atm at a volume of 155 ml. if the temperature is held constant, what is the volume (ml) if the p
GarryVolchara [31]

Answer:

45.8 mL

Explanation:

If all variables are held constant, the new volume can be found using the Boyle's Law equation. The equation looks like this:

P₁V₁ = P₂V₂

In this equation, "P₁" and "V₁" represent the initial pressure and volume. "P₂" and "V₂" represent the final pressure and volume. You can find the new volume by plugging the given values into the equation and simplifying.

P₁ = 3.1 atm                        P₂ = 10.5 atm

V₁ = 155 mL                       V₂ = ? mL

P₁V₁ = P₂V₂                                                 <----- Boyle's Law equation

(3.1 atm)(155 mL) = (10.5 atm)V₂                <----- Insert values

480.5 = (10.5 atm)V₂                                  <----- Multiply 3.1 and 155

45.8 = V₂                                                    <----- Divide both sides by 10.5

A thermometer shows that the temperature of the air in a room has increased.Which type of energy has increased?
liberstina [14]

Kinetic energy has increased.

The Kinetic Molecular Theory of gases states that the average kinetic energy of the molecules of a gas is directly proportional to its Kelvin temperature.

Thus, if the temperature of the air in a room has increased, the average kinetic energy of its molecules has increased.

2Na(s) + Cl2(g) ------ 2NaCl(s)
Dovator [93]

Answer:

1. 7.256g of NaCl

2. 47.33g of Cl2

Explanation:

2 moles of Na reacts to produce 2 moles of NaCl

8 moles of Na will still produce 8 moles of NaCl

Mass of NaCl = molar mass of Nacl/moles of Nacl

=58.5/8

=7.256g of NaCl

From the equation, 2 moles of Na reacts with 1 mole of Cl2

3/2 moles of Cl2 will react with 3 moles of Na

Mass of Cl2 = 71/1.5

=47.33g of Cl2
