Mechanical waves include water waves, sound waves, and seismic waves. Transfer energy and travels through a medium that provides an elastic restoring force.

Electromagnetic waves are waves that have no medium to travel whereas mechanical waves needs a medium for it’s transmission. Travel in vacuum.
