The limbic system or the seat of emotions and experience of rewards is said to be completely developed in early adolescence. How

ever, the pre-frontal cortex, also called the judgment region doesn't finish developing until at least a person is nearly an adult. We could reasonably suggest that during the adolescent stage, it may be biologically difficult for a person to wrangle their emotions, impulses, and behaviors. As a medical educator, how would you teach a group of parents about why their adolescent boys and girls are "acting out"?

Answer:

To understand an adolescence, it is importan to consider some facts that are going through at that stage.

The areas of the brain by which a person is able to take decisions is not well developed until a person is 25 or so. Acting out can be explained somewhat whith this argument.

The pre-frontal cortex responsable for planing and estimating consequences of certain actions is due to the development of ths area of the brain. Adolescents are moved and sometimes controled by ther emotions due to the lack of rational judgment.

As parents and educators it is imporant to undertad that acting out is somewhat part of a stage they are going through. An talking to them about it, so that they now sometimes emotions and impulses can control ther behavior. This can help them be aware of what they are going through and the adult  can be more understanding.

Explanation:

It is important as an educator to let the parents know that even though this is a true fact, that adolescents can be more impulsive because of this. It is fundamental that the adults know, that even if they act out, they always have to take responsabilties of things they do.

As an educator is important to be understanding on the stage they are going through, but also let them learn from their mistakes.

Give three reasons why it is important for an infant to have an immediate, strong bond with his or her parents.
WARRIOR [948]

Answer:

1.- Because the child will be in a more favorable environment for his learning

2.- The child is less at risk of experiencing anger, anxiety or depression, which could affect the future

3-. In the long term it could favor the child's intelligence and strengthen trust with parents during adolescence.

Explanation:

1.- Children who develop a strong bond in their first months of life, perceive in that link a solid platform, to discover the world, thus enhancing their learning capacity.

2.- When this link does not develop healthily the child is more likely to experience feelings of anger, anxiety or depression, eventually developing problems of very bad behavior and demotivation in school

3.- Children who during their first year experience a strong and close bond with their parents, tend to better handle emotional experiences in the rest of their development and see their parents as a source of comfort and support. Although they do not remember their experiences from this period, their brain registers the emotions experienced.
