Answer: z = 16.3

Explanation:

Since the machine can only handle 3 significant digits.

All the inputs would be automatically converted to 3 significant digits.

x = 25.74 = 25.7 (to 3 s.d)

y = 9.370 = 9.37 (to 3 s.d)

So, the value of ;

z = x-y

Substituting the input values.

z = 25.7 - 9.37

z = 16.33

But the Machine can only output 3 significant digits

z = 16.3

An amusement park ride consists of a rotating circular platform 11.1 m in diameter from which 10 kg seats are suspended at the e
frozen [14]

To solve this problem we will use the relationship given between the centripetal Force and the Force caused by the weight, with respect to the horizontal and vertical components of the total tension given.

The tension in the vertical plane will be equivalent to the centripetal force therefore

Tsin\theta= \frac{mv^2}{r}

Here,

m = mass

v = Velocity

r = Radius

The tension in the horizontal plane will be subject to the action of the weight, therefore

Tcos\theta = mg

Matching both expressions with respect to the tension we will have to

T = \frac{\frac{mv^2}{r}}{sin\theta}

T = \frac{mg}{cos\theta}

Then we have that,

\frac{\frac{mv^2}{r}}{sin\theta} =  \frac{mg}{cos\theta}

\frac{mv^2}{r} = mg tan\theta

Rearranging to find the velocity we have that

v = \sqrt{grTan\theta}

The value of the angle is 14.5°, the acceleration  (g) is 9.8m/s^2 and the radius is

r = \frac{\text{diameter of rotational circular platform}}{2} + \text{length of chains}

r = \frac{11.1}{2}+2.41

r = 7.96m

Replacing we have that

v = \sqrt{(9.8)(7.96)tan(14.5\°)}

v = 4.492m/s

Therefore the speed of each seat is 4.492m/s

The early earth was much cooler than it is today. <br><br> a. True <br><br> b. False
Pie
This statement is true. Early earth was much cooler than it is today.

This is because the pollution as well as the population number was very small compared to nowadays population and pollution.
The pollution mainly is causing a decay in the ozone layer which protects the earth from uv rays. Thus, more of these rays enter the atmosphere and increase the temperature.
The increase in population along with the decrease in green areas leads to the increase in the percentage of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, which again leads to an increase in the temperature.

an airplane releases a ball as it flies parallel to the ground at a height of 235m. if the ball lands on the ground exactly at 2
Oksanka [162]
<span>When the question says the ball lands a distance of 235 meters from the release point, we can assume this means the horizontal distance is 235 meters. Let's calculate the time for the ball to fall 235 meters to the ground. y = (1/2)gt^2 t^2 = 2y / g t = sqrt{ 2y / g } t = sqrt{ (2) (235 m) / (9.81 m/s^2) } t = 6.9217 s We can use the time t to find the horizontal speed. v = d / t v = 235 m / 6.9217 s v = 33.95 m/s Since the horizontal speed is the speed of the plane, the speed of the plane is 33.95 m/s</span>

Which one of the following types of training involves 10 to 30 minutes of high-intensity exercise?
Goshia [24]

Correct answer choice is:

C. Medium range

Explanation:

Medium range exercises are used to gain extra strength and fitness. Usually, heavyweights are used with less number of repetitions. These sort of exercises are mostly the hardest t do. All you need is to have a high level of motivation and stamina, which can be gained by running or cycling.
