The table and the numbers might be a little intimidating but this is actually just a speed-distance-time problem. When we say average rate, we mean average speed, in this case.

Here is the solution:

average speed  =  \frac{350-126}{5-3}  = 112  \frac{ft}{s}

This represents the average speed of the system. If we plot the table, the speed represents the slope of the line.

What is role of gravity in our daily life?
Karo-lina-s [1.5K]
Well for starters, gravity keeps things down on Earth. Also, gravity applies its force on to cars to maintain stability by forcing the tires to make constant contact to the ground creating friction between the rubber and road surface allowing the car to be moved. I'm sure someone else has better ideas!

A bullet of mass 0.02 kg is fired by a gun of mass 20 kg. If the speed of the bullet is 150 ms -1,
wel

Answer:

0.15m/s

Explanation:

Momentum p = mv, must be conserved if there are no external forces acting on the system. Since there are only internal forces acting between the bullet and the gun, momentum must be conserved.

The total momentum before the gun is fired:

p = m_{bullet}v_{bullet} + m_{gun}v_{gun} = 0.02 * 0 + 20 * 0 = 0

The total momentum after the gun is fired, must also be zero:

p = m_{bullet}v_{bullet} + m_{gun}v_{gun} = 0.02 * 150 + 20 * v_{gun} = 0

Solving for v:

v_{gun}=-\frac{m_{bullet}v_{bullet}}{m_{gun}} = -\frac{0.02*150}{20} =-0.15

The recoil speed is the absolute value of the velocity.

As in the video, we apply a charge + to the half-shell that carries the electroscope. This time, we also apply a charge – to the
horrorfan [7]

Note: Although the video is not provided in this question, it is not needed to answer the question.

Answer:

B) It does not deflect at all

Explanation:

Since both half shells contain opposite charges, the two shells become electrically neutral when they are brought together and the electroscope discharges. On separating the two half shells again, the needle does not deflect because the half shells have now lost their charges to become neutral.
