Do you mean 22:07? If so, then Marla went to bed in army time, which carries on from 12 o'clock. So 22:07 in army time is 10:07 PM, so Adelaide went to be earlier.

2207 is military time
2207 is 10 hours and 7minutes past 12 (12 would be 1200)
So it was 10:07 pm when Marla went to bed
so Adelaide went to bed earlier

The perimeter of a playing field for a certain sport is 254 ft. The length is 47 ft longer than the width. Find the dimensions.
Vikentia [17]

Answer: the length is 87 feet

The width is 40 feet

Step-by-step explanation:

Let L represent the length of the playing field.

Let W represent the width of the playing field.

The playing field is rectangular. The formula for determining the perimeter of a rectangle is expressed as

Perimeter = 2(L + W)

The perimeter of a playing field for a certain sport is 254 ft. This means that

254 = 2(L + W)

L + W = 254/2

L + W = 127 - - - - - - - - - - - -1

The length is 47 ft longer than the width. This means that

L = W + 47

Substituting L = W + 47 into equation 1, it becomes

W + 47 + W = 127

2W + 47 = 127

2W = 127 - 47 = 80

W = 80/2 = 40

L = W + 47 = 40 + 47

L = 87

The total number of eggs in k cartons where each carton contains n eggs. Write this as an expression.
Liula [17]

。☆✼★ ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━  ☾

It makes more sense if you think about it in numerical terms.

Say if there were 10 eggs per carton and there were 5 cartons, what would you do to find the total?

You would multiply them

It is the same in this case

The expression would be n x k

It can be written as just nk though
