f1=30Nandf2=10Nact on amass of 2kg if the cofficient of friction between the mass and the horizontal surface is 0.2 what is the
Alexus [3.1K]

The mass is moving with an acceleration of 13.299 m/s².

What is the straight forward meaning of acceleration?

The rate at which an object's velocity with respect to time changes is referred to as acceleration in mechanics. They are vector quantities, accelerations.

According to therefore mentioned statement,

the direction of the net force applied on an object determines its acceleration;

according to mentioned data;

F₁=30N

F₂=10N

Net force on object;

F=F₁+F₂

F=F₁y+F₂Cos30°(-x)+F₂ Sinx(-y)

F=3y+10×(√3/2)(-x)+10×(1/2)(-y)

F=ma

ma=-5√3/2(x)+25y

2a=-5√3x/2+25y

a=-5√3x+25y

magnitude(a)=√(-5√3/2)²+(25/2)²

     (a) =13.299m/s²

What is the resultant of the vecotors shown?
Karolina [17]

D, I believe would be the first minus the second vector.

To solve this I named the first vector as A and the second as B.

So... vector A - B = resultant

or A + (-B)

A negative indicates a direction of a vector so if we flip the direction the other way we have the first vector (A) pointing vertically upwards and then vector B pointing to the west.

Now we have to use the head to tail method, meaning that the head of the first vector has to connect with the tail of the other vector added.

So we should have something like this

(-B)  < -  -  - -  ^

                      |

                      |  (A)

                      |

To add these two vectors, technically A - B, draw a line from the tail of A to the head of -B which would look like image D.

Hope this helped!

How long does it take an automobile traveling 72.5 km/h to become even with a car that is traveling in another lane at 54.5 km/h
Novosadov [1.4K]

Answer:

7.83

Explanation:

Just using the speed ,distance and time relation..Let time be T

Use this formula and find the distance covered by automobile .

Do same for car ..

and at last subtract the distance of automobile to car =141.

i.e (Distance of automobile -Dist.of car )=141

A bullet of mass 20g is a fired with a velocity of 50mls from a gun of mass 2.5kg. Calculate the recoil velocity of the gun.
jok3333 [9.3K]

Answer:

v = - 0.4 m/s

Explanation:

Initial momentum is zero as neither gun nor bullet have velocity

Conservation of momentum

0 = 0.020(50) + 2.5v

v = - 0.4 m/s
