In order to find x, we need to set our expressions equal to each other like so...

9x+22 = 11x-2

Now all we do is simplify...

9x+22 = 11x-2

subtract 9x from both sides...

22 = 2x - 2

add 2 to both sides...

24 = 2x

divide both sides by 2...

x = 12
