Answer:

54.6 cm : B

Step-by-step explanation:

Mathematically the area of a rectangle is 2( l + b)

So in practical terms we only need the measure of two sides as we have 2 equal sides for a rectangle.

We can see that we have two right angles on each sides

Now to find b, we can use trigonometric ratios

For each of the rectangles, the diagonal represents the hypotenuse

Mathematically;

sin 30 = b/20

From triangle ABC

b = 20 sin 30 = 20 * 0.5 = 10 cm

Now, to get l

Mathematically;

Sin 60 = l/20

l = 20 sin 60 = 17.32 cm

So the perimeter is;

2(10 + 17.32)

2(27.32) = 54.64 cm which is 54.6 to the nearest tenth

- 1/3 -5/8
-8/24 - 15/24
-23/24

The first step is to find the least common denominator. The LCD of 3 and 8 is 24. Now, mulitply -1/3 by 8/8 and -5/8 by 3/3. This will give you fractions with equal denominators which you need to find before subtracting. Finally, you simplify the equation. Since this cannot be simplified, -23/24 is the answer

How do you find the size of angle B?
Vitek1552 [10]

the sum of the interior angles is 180° (triangles)

it's isosceles, 2 equal sides and 2 equal angles.

you take away the given angle from 360° and you will find the sum of the 2 equal sides, you divide by 2 and you have the angle b (equal to angle C).

(180 - 72) : 2  =

108 : 2 = 54° (your answer)

-----------------------

72 + 54 + 54 = 180°

The answer is good.
