The coefficient is the greatest common factor for the numbers 6 and 36. Find the greatest common factor (for this problem, it is 9).
9 goes on the outside of the problem. Then fill in the 9x-36 by dividing the 9 and 36 by 9.

Daniel rollerbladed 3 miles in 12 minutes. At this rate, how many miles will he rollerblade in 1 hour? Show your work.
Yakvenalex [24]

Answer:

Daniel is rollerblading at 15 miles per hour

Daniel can go 3 miles in 12 minutes so we do 12÷3 to find out how many minutes it takes to go 1 mile which is 4 now we do 60÷4 to get 15

Alternatively we could do 60÷12 to get 5 then do 3×5 to get 15

The perimeter of a rectangle can be found using the equation P = 2L + 2W, where P is the perimeter, L is the length, and W is th
riadik2000 [5.3K]

Answer:

14.5 feet

Step-by-step explanation:

<h3>To make  subject as 'w' and solving:</h3>

     To make the subject as 'w', isolate w.

  • To isolate 'w', subtract 2L from both sides .

              2L + 2W =P

                      2W = P - 2L

  • Now, divide both sides by 2.

                        \sf W = \dfrac{P-2L}{2}\\\\W =\dfrac{P}{2}-\dfrac{2L}{2}\\\\ \boxed{W = \dfrac{P}{2}-L}

   P = 37 feet

   L = 4 feet

           \sf W =\dfrac{37}{2}-4\\\\

                = 18.5 - 4

           W = 14.5 feet
