The immune system initiates inflammatory response while the immune response involves how this harmful substances are recognized and destroyed.

Explanation:

The inflammatory response is the normal response of the body's immune system to injuries to tissues by bacteria, trauma, toxins, that enter the body. Immune cells then quickly react to the damaged area to fix the problem because this area has become isolated separating the foreign substance from further contact with other body tissues. During the process, there may be symptoms like pain, warmth, swelling and redness.

The immune response involves how the body recognizes and and protect itself against  foreign and harmful substances.
