Answer:

Swimmer A has reduced friction

tight kick with pointed toes reduces friction

Also, keeping your legs as tight together as possible helps to reduce friction because it streamlines, or compresses, the legs. And pitting he head down helps to reduce friction.

Keeping the head down helps keep it in alignment with the body, but more importantly, a head down also can help reduce surface or wave drag. There is actually less drag underwater than on the surface of the water (think of a submarine), because we eliminate surface drag.

A would win the race!

In simple terms, friction makes it hard to slide through water, forcing swimmers to expend more energy to achieve higher speeds. ... Maintaining high energy levels helps swimmers move faster and for longer; even a fraction of a second might make the difference between winning and losing a competition.

drawing upon the results of this exercise, why is pseudomonas aeruginosa of such concern in burn patients chegg
Agata [3.3K]

Pseudomonas aeruginosa is of concern in burn patients beacuse it can cause infections like AIDS,diabetes mellitus , etc.

Pseudomonas aeruginosa is a common bacteria that can be found in soil, water, and other environmental niches. Burn wounds are intricate microenvironments where bacterial pathogens like P. aeruginosa can cause infections. Typical virulence factors like pyocyanin and pyoverdine expressed at higher levels than they would have under conventional laboratory conditions.

Elastase is secreted as well, is primarily responsible for the host tissues'  degradation. P. aeruginosa infections cause severe consequences mostly in organisms with weakened natural defences. Examples of these circumstances include burn wound patients.

Dna replication is called semiconservative because _______________ of the original duplex appears in the duplex formed in replic
finlep [7]
HALF.. This is a form of replication where two copies were produced each will contain one of the original strand and the other is a new copy. This happens because each nitrogenous base should pair with the complimentary partner, such as adenine with thymine and cytosine and guanine. DNA replication happens due to the action of enzymes. Each new strands will form an identical copy of the original DNA strand. There are various models proposed to explain how replication occurs. These are the conservative, semiconservative and dispersive.
