Answer:

Signal detection theory

Explanation:

Signal Detection Theory refers to the tendency of the people to get distorted by the random information and how it affects their decision-making process. In the cause of humans, the human body acts as a detecting system and it get affected by different signals. This theory explains how the random patterns affect the information-bearing system. As per the question, the sound of a vehicle serves as the random pattern which distracts the detecting system and it is a classic example of signal detection theory.

BRAINLIESSTTT ASAP!!!
GarryVolchara [31]

With so many agricultural goods to get to the market, people in the South liked the idea of building railroads to ship heavy bales of cotton and tobacco.  In 1833 investors got a charter for the Georgia Railroad Company which would run from Athens to Augusta. The Central of Georgia Railway was next, running from Macon to Savannah.

The Georgia Railroad ended for many years at a little settlement in the Piedmont, which was named Terminus because the line stopped there. It was named " Marthasville" briefly and then got a new name, Atlanta, in 1845.

As the railroads grew in importance, the little town grew too. It was an important railroad hub by the start of the Civil War in 1861.

How did Gandhi affect the people on his region?
AysviL [449]

Mohandas Gandhi — also affectionately known as Mahatma — led India's independence movement in the 1930s and 40s by speaking softly without carrying much of a big stick, facing down the British colonialists with stirring speeches and non-violent protest.

A mathematical tool that Lewis and Clark brought with them not their expedition and why
Phoenix [80]

Explanation:

Once he was named by President Thomas Jefferson to head the Corps of Discovery, Thermometric Lewis began preparations for the long trip ahead. Much of that preparation involved education; in the months prior to his departure, Lewis would learn astronomy, botany, navigation, medicine and biology, among other scientific disciplines.

In addition, Lewis spent his time accumulating all the supplies that the expedition was going to need. He wrote list after list of provisions, which included guns, ammunition, medical supplies and scientific instruments. While still on the East Coast, Lewis accumulated almost two tons of goods using the $2,500 Congress had allocated for the expedition.
