Answer:

If carbohydrate content of the diet is insufficient to meet the body's needs for glucose, then Amino Acids can be converted into glucose. The process by which this non-carbon source is converted into glucose is called gluconeogenesis. It is an important phenomena if in case there is shortage of glucose then to serve brain as immediate source of glucose, non-carbon precursors are used to be converted into glucose, one of which is amino acids others are lactate and glycerol. The amino acids used for this purpose come from the protein diet that we consume like meat.

Answer:

Amino acids.

Explanation:

Amino acid can be converted into glucose, If the carbohydrate content of the diet is insufficient to meet the body's needs for glucose through the process of gluconeogenesis.

Gluconeogenesis is a process which is used by the body to synthesize glucose from 3 or 4 carbon molecules for example pyruvate. These molecules are generated from some triglycerides and amino acids.

ludmilkaskok [199]

Answer:

The correct answer is c) opsonins

Explanation:

Opsonization is a process in which proteins like antibodies and complement proteins called opsonins bind to the antigens and get it recognized by the phagocyted which destroys the antigen.

Especially when bacteria is having external capsule than it becomes difficult for phagocytes to attach to the capsular surface as the recognition molecule like membrane carbohydrate of antigen is concealed by capsule.

So to encounter this, antibodies like IgG and complement proteins like C3b attaches to the antigen and get it recognized and opsonized by the phagocytes like macrophages. This opsonization causes the destruction of antigen by enzymatic lysis.

Sedbober [7]

Answer:

Explanation:

Alkali metals (rarely 'Hydrogen and the alkali metals')

Alkaline earth metals (in old chemistry this name applied only to Ca and its congeners)

Icosagens (unofficial name; aka Boron group; rarely Earth metals)

Crystallogens (unofficial name; aka Carbon group; rarely Adamantogens[a] or Merylides[b])

Pnictogens

Chalcogens

Halogens

Noble gases (rarely Aerogens). The Group name may have to be changed to the “Helium group” since oganesson is not expected to be noble.
