Kinetic energy =  \frac{mass*velocity ^{2} }{2} =  \frac{40*2 ^{2} }{2} = 80J. Therefore kinetic energy of the box while on the conveyor belt is 80J.

Answer : The kinetic energy of the box is, 80 J

Explanation :

The formula used for kinetic energy is:

K.E=\frac{1}{2}mv^2

where,

K.E = kinetic energy = ?

m = mass = 40 kg

v = velocity = 2 m/s

Now put all the given values in the above formula, we get the kinetic energy of the box while it is on the conveyor belt.

K.E=\frac{1}{2}mv^2

K.E=\frac{1}{2}\times (40kg)\times (2m/s)^2

K.E=80kg.m^2/s^2=80J

Thus, the kinetic energy of the box is, 80 J

Suppose a piano tuner stretches a steel piano wire 7.5 mm. The wire was originally 0.975 mm in diameter, 1.45 m long, and has a
Tasya [4]

The forces a piano tuner applies to stretch the steel piano wire willl be 1.4 × 10¹¹ N.

<h3>What is force?</h3>

Force is defined as the push or pulls applied to the body. Sometimes it is used to change the shape, size, and direction of the body. Force is defined as the product of mass and acceleration. Its unit is Newton.

The application of a force may be used to describe the steel as an elastic element within a certain range of applied force.

Given data;

Young modulus, E=2.10 × 10¹¹ N/m²

Cross-sectional area,A

Final length,\rm L_f = 1.45 m = 1450 \ mm

Initial length,\rm L_i = 7.5 mm

\rm F  = \frac{(L_f-L_i)(E)(A)}{L_1} \\\\ \rm F  = \frac{(1450 - 7.5)(2.0 \times 0^{11})(0.746)}{1450} \\\\ F = 1.4 \times 10^{11} \ N

Hence, the force a piano tuner applies to stretch the steel piano wire willl be 1.4 × 10¹¹ N.

A soap bubble, when illuminated with light of frequency 5.27 Hz × 1014 Hz, appears to be especially reflective. If it is surroun
denis23 [38]

Answer:

1.07004\times 10^{-7}\ m

Explanation:

n_s = Refractive index of bubble = 1.33

f = Frequency of light = 5.27\times 10^{14}\ Hz

c = Speed of light = 3\times 10^8\ m/s

The wavelength of light is given by

\lambda=\dfrac{2n_st}{m-\dfrac{1}{2}}

Wavelength is also given by

\lambda=\dfrac{c}{f}

m = 1 for minimum thickness

\dfrac{c}{f}=\dfrac{2n_st}{m-\dfrac{1}{2}}\\\Rightarrow t=\dfrac{m-\dfrac{1}{2}c}{2n_sf}\\\Rightarrow t=\dfrac{(1-\dfrac{1}{2})\times 3\times 10^8}{2\times 1.33\times 5.27\times 10^{14}}\\\Rightarrow t=1.07004\times 10^{-7}\ m

The minimum thickness is 1.07004\times 10^{-7}\ m

how long would it take for a radio wave sent from a space satellite circling mars to reach Earth? Assume that radio waves (a for
kati45 [8]

Answer:

3 Minutes 2 seconds to 22 minutes 16 seconds

Explanation:

Lets assume the Mars to be at the closest distance to Earth. This distance (D) = 54.6 Million km

The signal travels at the speed of light, so speed of the signal (V) = 300000 km/s

So, the time (T) taken by the radio wave to reach Earth from Mars will be,

T = \frac{D}{V}

T = \frac{54600000}{300000}

Thus, T = 182 Sec = 3 Minutes 2 seconds.

The radio wave will take minimum 03 Minutes 02 seconds to reach Earth. Here is should be noted that the distance between the two planets keep on changing as they revolve around the Sun. There will come a point when Mars is farthest from Earth and the distance (D) will be 401 Million km. Then, the time will change to ,

T = \frac{401000000}{300000}

T = 1336.67 sec = 22.27 Minutes.

So the maximum time will be 22 minutes 16 seconds.
