The shoulder joint is capable of rotation which occurs in the frontal plane

Explanation:

Frontal plane is also called coronal plane.

There are three different types of plane: sagittal, frontal and transverse.  

It divides our body into two parts: ventral and dorsal.

Frontal plane is divided in six parts. These are Adduction, Abduction, Elevation, Depression, Inversion and Eversion.

All these six parts are responsible for different movements.

<u>Adduction: </u>Adduction helps towards the midline of body

<u>Abduction: </u>Abduction helps to motion, which is away from the midline of body

<u>Elevation: </u>Elevation helps to a superior position but only at scapula.

<u>Inversion:</u> it helps to lift to the medial border of the foot

<u>Eversion: </u> it helps lifting to the lower part of the foot
