24/108  can be simplified so,

what is 24 divided by 2? 12

and what is 108 divided by 2? 54

so it would be 12/54

but can you simplify more? YES.

divide by 2 again and you get,

6/27 can you even more? yes again.

but divided by 3 instead, and you get,

2/9 so can you go even more? sadly no. 

so there you have it 2/9.

24/108= 6/27 (divided by 4)
