The formula for the area of one side of the pyramid would be 1/2 x b x h. So you would multiply 1/2 x 3 x 2.24 which equals 3.36. Since there are 4 side you would need to multiply 3.36 x 4 which equals 13.44.

So now all you need to do is add the base area and the side area, 13.44 and 12 cm, to get 25.44.
