''A bear sharpening its claws on a tree is a good example of a bear adapting to its environment''. The given statement is false.

Explanation:

The wild bear's most noteworthy adjustment is its capacity to eat a wide range of things. Their preferred food are leafy foods, grasses, twigs, and nectar. They eat grubs, creepy crawlies, fish, and little warm blooded creatures.

Bears who discover little sustenance in their living space will come into regions where people live and will search for nourishment in junk jars or dumpsters. Dark colored bears have long, threatening claws.

These bears are inconceivably solid, ready to break the necks of numerous enormous prey with one amazing blow. Mearly, possisng the claw is not considered as adaptive feature for the bear.

KengaRu [80]

Answer:

Each unit of decrease has an exponential increase. So if you are looking at an item that has a Ph of 4 and water has a Ph of 7 —-that means it is 10 to the 3rd power more acidic or 1000 times more acidic than water.

Veseljchak [2.6K]
It is true that the chromosome is the sex determiner for many species. There are two types of chromosome - X, which determines the female sex, and Y, which determines the male sex. Based on these chromosomes, the child will either be a man or a woman. There are some cases where a person has only one type of a chromosome, X, when they are considered to be an 'inter sex,' although resembling females more. This is different that the usual set of chromosomes - XX for female, and XY for male.

If you treated embryos with a Notch inhibitor how would this affect the specification of venous and arterial endothelial cells?
Alisiya [41]

Answer:

d. all endothelial cells would be venous

Explanation:

The Notch signaling pathway is a cell signaling system which consist basically of 4 NOTCH genes ( NOTCH1, NOTCH2, NOTCH3, and NOTCH4) each of them having the information to build a particular cell membrane receptor protein.

It has been demonstrated in zebrafish embryos that Notch signaling are highly determinant factors during vascular development, and a key function of these genes was specifically to regulate the differentiation of arterial fate in endothelial cells.

Notch signaling-deficient embryos showed a loss of expression of arterial markers such as ephrinB2 from arterial vessels with an accompanying expansion of venous markers into normally arterial domains. In contrast, embryos in which Notch signaling had been ectopically activated, meaning an activation out of "proper" place (where not expected, e.g. venous endothelial), exhibited the contrary phenotype, this is a suppression of vein-specific markers with ectopic expression of arterial markers in venous vessels.

To summarize, when Notch is supressed (in this case inhibited with a specific Notch inhibitor) arterial fate of endothelium is not followed, and venous fate is stablished. Thus, endothelial cells (those expected to form venous tissues but also arterial ones) would specified as venous.
