In 6 7/8 multiply 8 and 6 = 48 and then add numerator 7 to answer = 48 + 7 = 55.......so answer will be 55 / 8 = 6.875

in 7 5/6 ............. here multiply 6 and 7 = 42 and add 5 to it = 42 + 5 = 47
so answer will be 47 / 6 = 7.833

so 7 5/6 is definitely bigger

GOOD LUCK !!!

A radio transmission tower is 170 feet tall. how long should a guy wire be if it is attached 15 feet from the top and is to make
beks73 [17]
The image of the given scenario is attached below.

A right angled triangle is formed, with one angle equal to 27 degrees. The perpendicular side is 155 and we are to find the length of guy wire which makes the hypotenuse of the right angled triangle.

Using the formula of sine, we can write:

sin(27)= \frac{155}{x}  \\  \\
x= \frac{155}{sin(27)} \\  \\
x=341

Rounding to nearest whole number, the length of the guy wire that must be attached is 341 feet.

Using De-Moivre's theorem, prove that i^2= -1.
Novosadov [1.4K]

Write i in trigonometric form. Since |i| = 1 and arg(i) = π/2, we have

i = exp(i π/2) = cos(π/2) + i sin(π/2)

By DeMoivre's theorem,

i² = exp(i π/2)² = exp(i π) = cos(π) + i sin(π)

and it follows that i² = -1 since cos(π) = -1 and sin(π) = 0.

The pyramid below has a rectangular base and E is directly above A
Kay [80]

Answer:

12 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

The question is not complete Let us assume the base has a length of 15 cm and width of 10 cm.

A pyramid with a rectangular base is a rectangular pyramid.  Its base is rectangular and on each side of the base, it has a triangular face known as lateral face.

The volume of a rectangular pyramid is one third of the product of the length of the base, breadth of the base and height of the pyramid given by:

Volume = (length × breadth × height) / 3

Let us assume the base has a length of 15 cm and width of 10 cm.

Given that the volume = 600 cm³.

Volume = (length × breadth × height) / 3

600 = (15 × 10 × height)/3

1800 = 150 × height

height = 1800 / 150

height = 12 cm
