Suppose Jim is going to build a playlist that contains 7 songs. In how many ways can Jim arrange the 7 songs on the playlist?
gulaghasi [49]

Answer:

Jim can arrange the 7 songs on the playlist in 5040 different ways.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

Songs = 7

Required

Ways of arrangement

Since, there is no restriction and conditions.

The songs can be arranged in

Ways = 7!

This is so because each song will have a distinct position:

So, we have

Ways = 7 * 6 * 5 * 4 * 3 * 2 * 1

Ways = 5040

Help plz ill give extra points
White raven [17]

Answer:

The answer here would be D.

Step-by-step explanation:

When looking at the angle you can see that it is a straight line with a intersecting line. This tells you that you will have supplementary angles, or angles that add up to 180 degrees.

You can only have supplementary angles when they are on either side of a straight line that has been intersected.

Since supplementary angles have to add up to 180 degrees, and you already know that one part of the current supplementary angles is 50 degrees, you can do the math,

180-50=130

To get your answer of D. 130

Find the prime factorization of 210

A.) 2 X 3 X 5 X 7
B.) 2 X 3 X 35
C.) 2 X 7 X 15
horrorfan [7]

To prime factorization would be A: 2 X 3 X 5 X 7

Because if your do 2 X 3 it would be 6

Then you do 5 X 7 it would be 35

And 6 X 35 would be 210

AND THAT IS FACTORING THE PROBLEM

The length of a rectangle is 4 m less than the diagonal and the width is 5 m less than the diagonal. If the area is 82 m^2, how
nikklg [1K]

I hate rounding.

Let's call the diagonal x. It's the hypotenuse of the right triangle whose legs are the rectangle sides.

According to the problem we have a length x-4 and a width x-5 and an area

82 = (x-4)(x-5)

82 = x^2 - 9x + 20

0 = x^2 - 9x - 62

That one doesn't seem to factor so we go to the quadratic formula

x = \frac 1 2(9 \pm \sqrt{9^2-4(62)}) = \frac 1 2(9 \pm \sqrt{329})

Only the positive value makes any sense for this problem, so we conclude

x = \frac 1 2(9 \pm \sqrt{329})

That's the exact answer. Did I mention I hate rounding? That's about

x = 13.6 meters

Answer: 13.6

----------

It's not clear to me this problem is consistent. By the Pythagorean Theorem the diagonal satisfies

x^2 = (x-4)^2 + (x-5)^2

which works out to

x=9 \pm 2\sqrt{10}

That's not consistent with the first answer; this problem really has no solution. Tell your teacher to get better material.
