Let x be the number of days
Let y be miles travelled
Let z be total cost

a) 55x+0.45y=z
55x+0.45(300)=$2,335

b) 55x+135=$2,335
55x=2335-135
55x=2200
x=2200/55
x=40

c) She spent 40 days

Hope I helped :)

Elena L [17]

The trinomial did she factor is \rm x^2-4x-12.

Given

Leonora is factoring a trinomial.

The factors of the trinomial are shown on the model.

Quadratic equation

It is a polynomial that is equal to zero. Polynomial of variable power 2, 1, and 0 terms are there.

Any equation having one term in which the power of the variable is a maximum of 2 then it is called a quadratic equation.

Algebra tiles are tiles used to represent variables or numbers and are rectangular or square-shaped.

1 is labeled + x squared, this gives x².

And 6 are labeled negative. 3 tiles are in the Factor 2 spot:

1 is labeled x and 2 are labeled. 0 tiles are in the Product spot.

-6x + 2x -12

Therefore

The trinomial did she factor is;

\rm x^2-4x-12

Hence, The trinomial did she factor is \rm x^2-4x-12.

More about the quadratic equation link is given below.
