Answer: The value of Keq for the reaction expressed in scientific notation is  1.6\times 10^{-5}

Explanation:

Equilibrium constant is defined as the ratio of concentration of products to the concentration of reactants each raised to the power their stoichiometric ratios.

For the given chemical reaction:

2NOCl(g)\rightarrow 2NO(g)+Cl_2(g)

The expression for K_{eq} is written as:

K_{eq}=\frac{[NO]^2\times [Cl_2]}{[NOCl]^2}

K_{eq}=\frac{(1.2\times 10^{-3})^2\times (2.2\times 10^{-3})}{(1.4\times 10^{-2})^2}

K_{eq}=1.6\times 10^{-5}

The value of Keq for the reaction expressed in scientific notation is  1.6\times 10^{-5}

2. How much force will this car experience if it collides with a wall and the collision lasts for
Pepsi [2]

The momentum of the body is 12 m/s.

<h3>What is momentum?</h3>

Momentum is the product of the mass of a body and velocity. According to Newton's second law, the rate  of change of momentum is equal to the impressed force.

The details required to answer the first two questions are missing hence we can't answer those questions. For the last question;

p = mv

m = mass

v = velocity

p = momentum

v = p/m

v =  72,000 kgm/s/6,000 kg

v = 12 m/s

Which numbers are used? Consider the balanced chemical equation that follows. You are asked to determine how many moles of water
velikii [3]
I am assuming that the balanced equation is
2H₂ + O₂ ⇒ 2H₂O
Since the hydrogen is the limiting reagent (meaning if the hydrogen runs out the reaction stops), we need to compare the mole ratio between hydrogen and water.

The mole ratio between H₂ and H₂O is 2:2, or 1:1 (as seen on the coefficients of the balanced equation)
And so for every mole of hydrogen, it will be equal to water. Since hydrogen is 4 moles, 4 moles of water would be created.

So we use the coefficients of H₂ and H₂O in order to answer this question.

Can someone help with question 6 ASAP
Lera25 [3.4K]

Answer:

A metalloid is a type of chemical element which has a preponderance of properties in between, or that are a mixture of, those of metals and nonmetals. There is no standard definition of a metalloid and no complete agreement on which elements are metalloids. Despite the lack of specificity, the term remains in use in the literature of chemistry.

A series of six elements called the metalloids separate the metals from the nonmetals in the periodic table. The metalloids are boron, silicon, germanium, arsenic, antimony, and tellurium. These elements look metallic; however, they do not conduct electricity as well as metals so they are semiconductors. They are semiconductors because their electrons are more tightly bound to their nuclei than are those of metallic conductors. Their chemical behavior falls between that of metals and nonmetals. For example, the pure metalloids form covalent crystals like the nonmetals, but like the metals, they generally do not form monatomic anions. This intermediate behavior is in part due to their intermediate electronegativity values. In this section, we will briefly discuss the chemical behavior of metalloids and deal with two of these elements—boron and silicon—in more detail.

A 15.0 L tank of gas is contained at a high pressure of
Inessa05 [86]

Answer:

20.5 torr

Explanation:

Given parameters:

Volume of tank  = 15L

Pressure of tank  = 8.2 x 10⁴torr

Volume of empty chamber = 6.0 x 10⁴L

Unknown:

New pressure of the gas in this chamber = ?

Solution:

To solve this problem, a good knowledge of the gas law will suffice here. Since pressure and volume relationships are under consideration, the Boyle's law is the proper gas law to apply.

 Boyle's law states that "at constant temperature, the volume of fixed mass of gas is inversely proportional to the pressure of the gas".

Mathematically;

    (Pressure x volume) of tank  = (Pressure x volume ) of empty chamber

      15 x 8.2 x 10⁴   = Pressure of empty chamber x 6 x 10⁴

 Pressure of empty chamber = 20.5 torr
