A tank of methane gas contains 2.8 m³ of the gas at 20°C. The tank has a pressure-release valve that releases gas into a seconda

ry tank that will hold 0?2m³ of gas if the pressure rises. At what Celsius temperature will the methane fill both tanks?

There is a typo in the question. hopefully, i assumed the correct number.

when volume and temperature are given, that means you need Charles' law. remember that with any gas formula, the temperature has to be in Kelvin which can be determined by simply adding 273 to Celsius.

Charles' law---> V1/T1 = V2/T2

V1= 2.8 m3
T1= 20 C = 293 K
V2= 0.2 m3
T2= ????

let's plug in the values

2.8/ 293 = 0.2/ T2

T2= 20.9 Kelvin

to change the answer to Celsius, just subtract 273 to the temperature

20.9 - 273= -252 Celsius

Un mol de amoniaco Tiene una masa molar de 17 g y ocupa un volumen de 22.4 l qué volumen ocupa el 50 g amoniaco en condiciones n
mr_godi [17]

Answer:

V = 65.81 L

Explanation:

En este caso, debemos usar la expresión para los gases ideales, la cual es la siguiente:

PV = nRT (1)

Donde:

P: Presion (atm)

V: Volumen (L)

n: moles

R: constante de gases (0.082 L atm / mol K)

T: Temperatura (K)

De ahí, despejando el volumen tenemos:

V = nRT / P (2)

n = 50 / 17 = 2.94 moles

Con estos moles, reemplazamos en la expresión (2) y calculamos el volumen:

V = 2.94 * 0.082 * 273 / 1

V = 65.81 L

Which corresponds to the composition of the ion typically formed by magnesium?
nekit [7.7K]
The ion composition of Magnesium is 12,10, 2+.
Magnesium is a chemical element with symbol Mg and an atomic number 12, it has 12 protons, and 12 electrons with a chemical configuration of 2:8:2. It requires to loose two electrons to form a stable configuration forming a cation (positively charged ion) with a charge of +2 and a configuration of 2:8 ( 12 protons and 10 electrons).
