Global warming is a theory accepted by a majority of scientists. How can local environmental changes have global effects?

The local environmental changes are having a global effect, and that is well documented and constantly witnessed. The reason why local environmental changes can have such a big impact is that the gasses move freely throughout all of the planet, they move horizontally with the winds, and they also move vertically higher into the atmosphere which is in constant movement.

This results in a situation where one area produces lot of pollution, but another area is feeling the effects because the air masses moved big portion of the polluters there.

A nice example are China and Mongolia. China is one of the two major polluters in the world, while Mongolia barely has any industry especially when considered its size and population. The air masses though are moving from the southeast towards northwest, thus big portion of the pollution in the eastern part of China goes into Mongolia. Because of this, despite not being a big polluter, Mongolia has one of the worst air qualities in the world.

Also, we can witness that the holes in the ozone layer are mostly around the poles, despite the sources of the chemicals that are damaging it are on totaly different locations.

(N2 &amp; O2 &amp; Ar &amp; CO2...) <br> an element compound or mixture?
ololo11 [35]

Answer: Mixture

Explanation:

Element is a pure substance which is composed of atoms of similar elements.

Compound is a pure substance which is made from atoms of different elements combined together in a fixed ratio by mass.

Mixture is a substance which has two or more components which do not combine chemically and do not have any fixed ratio in which they are present. Example: Air which conatins a mixture of N_2, O_2 , Ar and CO_2

Can someone help me? I don't know the answer and I need a justification for why the correct answer is correct
pav-90 [236]

Answer:

(A) The value of Kc for this reaction increases as temperature increases, because the reaction is endothermic.

Step-by-step explanation:

   N₂O₄      ⇌       2NO₂

colourless      reddish-brown

NO₂ is a reddish-brown gas, while N₂O₄ is colourless.

When you cooled the sample to 0 °C, the position of equilibrium shifted to form more N₂O₄, that is, it <em>shifted to the left</em>.

According to <em>Le Châtelier's Principle,</em> when a stress is applied to a system at equilibrium, the system will respond in a way that tends to relieve the stress.

You applied a stress: you removed heat from the system. It responded by shifting in the direction that produces more heat (<em>to the left</em>).

If you consider heat as part of the reaction, the equation must be

N₂O₄ + heat ⇌ 2NO₂

The reaction is endothermic.

Furthermore, since the position of equilibrium shifted in the direction of reactants, the equilibrium constant decreased.

The value of K <em>decreases as the temperature decreases</em>. If we say it the other way, the value of K increases as the temperature increases.

The correct answer is (A) The value of Kc for this reaction increases as temperature increases, because the reaction is endothermic.

(B) and (D) are <em>wrong</em>, because the reaction is endothermic.

(C) is <em>wrong</em>, because the value of Kc decreases as temperature decreases.

choli [55]

Answer:

2m/s²

Explanation:

When an object starts or at its state of rest it has an Initial speed U = 0

Final speed = 6m/s

total time taken for the acceleration = 3s

Acceleration =?

Acceleration is the change in velocity (speed) with time
