danielle has $35 to spend on birthday presents for 2 of her friends. she has already spent a total of $6 on the cards. if she wants to spend the same amount on each friend, how much can she spend on each present?

Well this is simple all you have to do is subtract 6 dollars from 35 lets do that first
35 - 6 = 29 
so she has 29 dollars to spend on each friend and she only has two....
so lets divide 29 and 2
29/2 = 14.5 
so she can spend $14.50 on each of her friends:)
