They caught: 11/12 pounds of fish
First you need to change them to a same common denominator. Since 3 and 6 already go into 12, you just have to change 1/3 and 1/6 to a denominator with 12.
First you need to change 1/3 to 4/12. By doing that, you do: 1/3x4/4=4/12.
You then have to change 1/6 to 2/12. By doing that, you do: 1/6x2/2=2/12.
Then you just add up all the fractions and simplify: 4/12+2/12+5/12=11/12.
You can't simplify 11/12 any further so you're answer would be:
They caught 11/12 pounds of fish in total.
Hope this helps! :D

Ok so since the largest denominator is 12 we want to get the other denominators the same so it is easier to add together. Multiply 3 by 4 to get a denominator, then multiply 1 by 4 and you'll get 4/12. Then multiply 6 by 2 and then 1 by 2 and you'll get 2/12. Add all 3 of the fractions to get 11/12 pounds of fish. Hope this helps!

Which of these statements best describes the relation shown in Item 1?
Misha Larkins [42]

Answer:

It is a many-to-one relation

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

See attachment for relation

Required

What type of function is it?

The relation can be represented as:

\left[\begin{array}{c}x\\ \\-5\\-2\\1\\5\end{array}\right]         \left[\begin{array}{c}y\\ \\10\\11\\4\\10\end{array}\right]

Where

x = domain and y = range

Notice that the range has an occurrence of 10 (twice)

i.e.

(x_1,y_1) = (-5,10) and (x_2,y_2) = (5,10)

In function and relations, when two different values in the domain point to the same value in the range implies that, <em>the relation is many to one.</em>

wariber [46]

Answer:

3575880

Step-by-step explanation:

We need to use Permutation method,

nPr= \frac{n!}{(n-r)!}

Where n is the sample of size and r the combination considered, so

n=45\\r=4\\45P4= \frac{45!}{(45-4)!}\\45P4 = 3575880

There is 3575880 possibilities to make leadership structures in that committee

Can someone explain how to get to answer B?
sesenic [268]
Yo have to find the distance between point L and point M. First, you have to do the x values. 1 - -3 = 4. Then, you subtract the y values. -2 - 4 = -6. Next, you add the found numbers to the x and y of the midpoint (m). Leaving 1 +4=5 and -2 + -6 = -8.
