Will mark you as brainliest. If your good with polynomials.
kobusy [5.1K]
To solve/simplify this all you have to do is group like terms (the x^2's with each other, the x's with each other, and the normal numbers, -8)

14x^2-8+5x-6x^2+2x

group the x^2 (add 14x^2 to -6x^2)

8x^2-8+5x+2x

group the x's together (add 5x and 2x together)

8x^2+7x-8

Your answer will be d) 8x^2+7x-8

If the diameter of the semicircle is 1.7 centimeters, what is the circumference of the semicircle?
spin [16.1K]
The formula for circumference is C=2 \pi r or C= \pi d.  We have a diameter for the semicircle, so let's use the diameter formula.  C= \pi (1.7) which is either C=1.7 \pi or C = 5.338 if we multiply pi in as 3.14.  BUT this is only half a circle, so we only have half that distance around the outside.  Therefore, the circumference of half this circle is 2.669 cm.  But we need to add the 24 mm in.  24 mm in centimeters is 2.4 cm.  So 2.669 + 2.4 = 5.069

What is the radius of a sphere with a volume of 12,348 π cubic feet?
vova2212 [387]

Answer:

Radius = 21

Step-by-step explanation:

Volume of a sphere = 4/3 * pie * radius^3

12,348 pie = 4/3 * pie * radius ^3

12,348 = 4/3 * radius^3

(12,348 * 3)/ 4 = radius^3

9261 = radius^3

radius = \sqrt[3]{9261}

radius = 21
