Atomic size of sodium atom is greater than that of chlorine atom why?

Chemistry

The atomic size trend in the periodic table is increasing from right to left and from top to bottom. Hence when comparing a chlorine atom and a sodium atom, it is seen that chlorine is seen on the far left side of the periodic table while sodium is seen on the far right side. This means sodium is thus greater in atomic size than a chlorine atom.

What is the total amount of heat required to vaporize 1.00 gram of H2O (l) at 100 c and 1 atmosphere
Firlakuza [10]

The equation to be used to calculate the heat required to vaporize 1 gram of water at 100 degrees eclsius and 1 atmosphere is the enthalpy. It is represented as H = mCpT where H is the heat released after phase change, m is the mass of the substance, Cp is the specific heat capacity of the substance and T is the change in temperature.

H = mCpT

H = (1g/1000g/kg)(4.184kJ/kg-K)(100 - 20)

H = 0.335 kJ

AgCl⇒ the precipitate

Further explanation

Given

Reaction

2AgNO₃+CaCl₂⇒2AgCl+Ca(NO₃)₂

Required

The precipitate

Solution

Solubility rules :

soluble compound :

All compounds of NO₃⁻ and C₂H₃O₂⁻

Compounds of Cl−, Br−, I− except Ag⁺, Hg₂²⁺, Pb²⁺

So AgCl⇒ the precipitate
