Answer: 42 cookies/1 hour

Step-by-step explanation: Since Gretchen made 189 cookies in 4.5 hours, we set the equation up as 189/4.5. To get cookies per hour, we divide 189 by 4.5, which is 42/1. This means that Gretchen can make 42 cookies in 1 hour.

masha68 [24]

The correct statement regarding the function y = \sqrt{x + 2} is given by:

A. it us a one-to-one function.

<h3>What is the missing information?</h3>

This problem is incomplete, but researching it on the internet, the function used is y = \sqrt{x + 2}.

<h3>Is it a function?</h3>

For y = \sqrt{x + 2}, each value of x is associated with only one value of y, that is, the graph has <u>no vertically aligned points</u>, hence it is a function.

<h3>Is the function one-to-one?</h3>

Each value of y is also associated with only one value of x, that is, the graph has <u>no horizontally aligned points</u>, hence it is a one-to-one function, and the correct statement is given by:

A. it us a one-to-one function.

3(9-8x-4x)+8(3x+4)=11<br> how do I work this out???
Arte-miy333 [17]
Remember PEMDAS is the order of operations. parenthesis,exponents,multiply,divide,add,subtract. so -8x-4x is -12x. now simplified the problem is 3(9-12x) + 8(3x+4)=11 . now I would distribute the numbers before the parentheses and it becomes 27-36x + 24x+32 =11 . now combine like terms. 59-12x =11 . subtract 59 on both sides. -12x=-48. divide -12 on both sides. x=4. :-)

Answer:

11 in

Step-by-step explanation:

Area of a square is L^2

where L is length.

L^2 = 121 in^2

FIND THE SQUARE ROOT OF BOTH SIDES (including in^2).

L= 11 in.

side = 11 in
