The answer is (4) neutron and proton. The electron has very little mass and the neutron and proton have approximately the same mass. The positron has approximately the same mass as electron. The beta particle is electron. And the alpha particle is the nucleus of He which is about the same mass as 4 protons.

Calculate the dissociation constant of nh4oh(aq) if the degree of dissociation of 0.006 mol/kg solution is 0.053 and the activit
Anastasy [175]

The dissociation equation will be

                         NH4OH   --->        NH4+                   + OH-

Initial                 0.006                        0                          0

Change         -0.006 X 0.053        +0.006 X 0.053      -0.006 X 0.053

Equlibrium     0.006 -0.006 X 0.053      0.006 X 0.053    0.006 X 0.053

Ka = [NH4+] [ OH-] / [NH4OH] = (0.006 X 0.053)^2 / 0.006 -0.006 X 0.053

Ka = 1.78 X 10^-5

Volume of HCl used 25.0mL 4 l
borishaifa [10]

Answer:

1.0 M

Explanation:

Reaction equation;

KOH(aq) + HCl(aq) -----> KCl(aq) + H2O(l)

Concentration of acid CA = ?

Concentration of base CB = 1.0 M

Volume of base VB = 25.60 - 0.50 = 25.1 ml

Volume of acid VB =  25.0 ml

Number of moles of acid NA = 1

Number of moles of base NB =2

CAVA/CBVB =NA/NB

CAVANB = CBVBNA

CA = CBVBNA/VANB

CA = 1 * 25.1 * 1/25.0 *1

CA = 1.0 M

Use electron configurations to account for the stability of the lanthanide ions Ce⁴⁺ and Eu²⁺.
Citrus2011 [14]

Answer:

Explanation:

 The Ce metal has electronic configuration as follows

[Xe] 4f¹5d¹6s²

After losing 4 electrons , it gains noble gas configuration ,. So Ce ⁺⁴ is stable.

Eu  has electronic configuration as follows

[ Xe ] 4 f ⁷6s²

[ Xe ] 4 f ⁷

Its outermost orbit contains 2 electrons so  Eu²⁺ is stable. Its +3 oxidation state is also stable.

Ce⁺²
