Answer:

I agree with both.

Step-by-step explanation:

If it's $3 per dozen that would be $0.25 per muffin because

3 ÷ 12 = 0.25

And if Andre has $2 than he can only afford 8 muffins because

0.25 x 8 = 2

And if Elena wants 16 muffins

16 x 0.25 = 4

So she will have to pay $4.

Hope this makes sense and helps!

Answer: Area of the dotted line square is 120ft^2 and area of figure a. is 60 ft^2

Step-by-step explanation:

So the area of the dotted square/rectangle is 120 because we can take the entire length and width which is 10ft and 12 ft and multiply to find the area

Now the weird looking shape can be a little tricky but we have to remember that it is alot easier to solve for area of separate shapes. So if you look at the side of the 5ft and look all the way down we can see this figure makes both a rectangle and a triangle. The rectangle has a length of 10 and width of 4 so the area of that is 40ft^2. Now for the triangle. To find the base and height lengths 12-4 from the width of the rectangle which is 8 and 10-5 from height of the triangle so 5. Area of triangles is b*h/2 so 8*5/2= 20ft^2. So 40ft^2(rectangle)+20ft^2(triangle) is 60ft^2 area of figure a.

Let Y be a random variable with a density function given by
Neporo4naja [7]

From the given density function we find the distribution function,

F_Y(y)=P(Y\le y)=\displaystyle\int_{-\infty}^y f_Y(t)\,\mathrm dt=\begin{cases}0&\text{for }y

(a)

F_{U_1}(u_1)=P(U_1\le u_1)=P(3Y\le u_1)=P\left(Y\le\dfrac{u_1}3\right)=F_Y\left(\dfrac{u_1}3\right)

\implies F_{U_1}(u_1)=\begin{cases}0&\text{for }u_1

\implies f_{U_1}(u_1)=\begin{cases}\frac{{u_1}^2}{18}&\text{for }-3\le u_1\le3\\0&\text{otherwise}\end{cases}

(b)

F_{U_2}(u_2)=P(3-Y\le u_2)=P(Y\ge3-u_2)=1-P(Y

\implies F_{U_2}(u_2)=\begin{cases}0&\text{for }u_2

\implies f_{U_2}(u_2)=\begin{cases}\frac32(u_2-3)^2&\text{for }2\le u_2\le4\\0&\text{otherwise}\end{cases}

(c)

F_{U_3}(u_3)=P(Y^2\le u_3)=P(-\sqrt{u_3}\le Y\le\sqrt{u_3})=F_Y(\sqrt{u_3})-F_y(\sqrt{u_3})

\implies F_{U_3}(u_3)=\begin{cases}0&\text{for }u_3

\implies f_{U_3}(u_3}=\begin{cases}\frac32\sqrt u&\text{for }0\le u\le1\\0&\text{otherwise}\end{cases}
