Answer:

(A)0.25L

Explanation:

By combination of Boyle's law and Charles law to obtain the general gas equation, we have:

P1V1/T1=P2V2/T2

P1=Inital pressure=1.00 atm

V1=Inital volume=4.91L

T1=Initial temperature=20°C=20+273=293Kelvin

P2=Final pressure=5.2atm

T2=Final temperature=(-196+273K)=77K

V2= final volume=?

by making V2 the subject of the above general gas equation

we have V2=P1V1T2/P2T1

=1×4.91×77/5.2×293

=0.248L

How many moles of nitrous oxide gas (N2O) is contained in 20.0 L balloon at a pressure of 1.09 atm and a temperature of 298K? Ro
prohojiy [21]

Answer:

There are 0,89 moles of nitrous oxide gas in the balloon.

Explanation:

We apply the formula of the ideal gases, we clear n (number of moles); we use the ideal gas constant R = 0.082 l atm / K mol:

PV= nRT ---> n= PV/RT

n= 1,09 atm x 20,0 L /0.082 l atm / K mol x 298 K

n= 0,89212637 mol

Sequence specific dna binding proteins recognize the nucleotide sequence of double-stranded dna primarily by forming non-covalen
adoni [48]

Sequence specific dna binding proteins recognize the nucleotide sequence of double-stranded dna primarily by forming non-covalent bonds with Chemical groups on the edges of paired bases within the major groove.

What Are DNA-Binding Proteins?

DNA is the blueprint for the cell. It contains information that codes for all of our traits. Essentially, our DNA is what makes us, us. But, DNA doesn't do this in isolation. There are thousands of proteins in our cells that help modulate DNA's functions. These proteins are called DNA-binding proteins, because they attach to DNA.

DNA binding proteins do many jobs including controlling protein production, regulating cell growth and division, and storing DNA inside the nucleus. Thus, if DNA is the blueprint to build the human body, then DNA-binding proteins are the parts of the cell that read and interpret the instructions to actually create and maintain the body. Let's look at the different types of DNA-binding proteins and examples of each.
