Answer:

y = 8

Step-by-step explanation:

4y - 4 = 28

take -4 to the equal side, which will change and become +4

so, it will be; 4y = 28 + 4

4y = 32

divide both sides by the number next to the unknown(y), which is 4

y = 8

Answer:

y=8

Step-by-step explanation:

4y-4=28

4y=28+4

4y=32

y=32/4

y=8

now plug in 8 for y and check the equation true:

4y-4=28

4*(8)-4=28

32-4=28

28=28

So, y is equal to eight 8

Which simplified expression represents the area of the parallelogram
Charra [1.4K]

Answer:

The area of a parallelogram is its base times its height.

Step-by-step explanation:

Area is for 2 dimensional shapes. (Shapes with two dimensions in parallelograms they are often referred to as base times height, or length times width). Area is the space inside a two dimensional object, and to find this use the length and the height to find the space in the 2-D figure.

Side note: Volume is "the area of 3 dimensional figures". Three dimensions meaning Length, Width and Height. So there is no area for 3-D figures. (unless you are using Surface Area)

Hope this Helps!

Find the 2nd term of an arithmetic sequence with t5 = 3 and t7 = 7?
svetlana [45]
Let a be the first term and d be the common difference

t5 = 3 = a + 4d
t7 = 7 = a + 6d

a + 6d - a - 4d = 7 - 3
2d = 4
d = 2

Sub d = 2,
3 = a + 4(2)
a = -5

t2 = a + d
t2 = -5 + 2
t2 = -3
