$9.25 + $4.35 = $13.6

$13.6 = Veena's meal without tax

$7.5 = tax rate

$13.6 ÷ $7.5 = $1.81

$1.81 = tax

$13.6 + $1.81 = $15.41

$15.41 = Veena's meal with tax

Can a chord also be classified as a radius?
klemol [59]
No.

A chord is a straight segment that joins two points of the circumference. It starts at a point in the circumference and ends at other point in the circumference.

The radius goes from the center of the circle (which is not on the circumference) to one point of the circumference.

The diameter is a chord (the largest chord possible); but not the radius.

Given the functions: f(x) = x^2-9 and g(x) = 3 what is (f/g)(x)? A. x-3 B. x-9 C. x+3 D. x+9
uysha [10]

Answer:

f + g)(x) = f (x) + g(x)

= [3x + 2] + [4 – 5x]

= 3x + 2 + 4 – 5x

= 3x – 5x + 2 + 4

= –2x + 6

(f – g)(x) = f (x) – g(x)

= [3x + 2] – [4 – 5x]

= 3x + 2 – 4 + 5x

= 3x + 5x + 2 – 4

= 8x – 2

(f × g)(x) = [f (x)][g(x)]

= (3x + 2)(4 – 5x)

= 12x + 8 – 15x2 – 10x

= –15x2 + 2x + 8

\left(\small{\dfrac{f}{g}}\right)(x) = \small{\dfrac{f(x)}{g(x)}}(

g

f

)(x)=

g(x)

f(x)

= \small{\dfrac{3x+2}{4-5x}}=

4−5x

3x+2

My answer is the neat listing of each of my results, clearly labelled as to which is which.

( f + g ) (x) = –2x + 6

( f – g ) (x) = 8x – 2

( f × g ) (x) = –15x2 + 2x + 8

\mathbf{\color{purple}{ \left(\small{\dfrac{\mathit{f}}{\mathit{g}}}\right)(\mathit{x}) = \small{\dfrac{3\mathit{x} + 2}{4 - 5\mathit{x}}} }}

Tamara goes on a spring break trip with her school to visit historical sites in Italy. She purchases $200 of souvenirs while on
Reptile [31]

This question is solved using the concept of balance, and doing this, we get that:

The balance in her account will be of -$200.

Balance:

The balance of a credit card is given by the sum of all the earnings subtracted by all the spending.

Tamara:

Initial balance: $0

Purchases: $200

Earnings: $0

Subtracting earnings by purchases:

0 - 200 = -$200

The balance in her account will be of -$200.

Solve the proportion <br> 2/z-5=z/0.5zpower2+7<br> A.1/5<br> B.6<br> C.-7/5<br> D.-14/5
stiv31 [10]
2 / (z-5) = z / (0.5z^2 + 7)
cross multiply
z(z - 5) = 2(0.5z^2 + 7) =
z^2 - 5z = z^2 + 14 =
z^2 - z^2 - 5z = 14
-5z = 14
z = -14/5
