Why have erosion and deposition increased in both of the prairie ecosystems
Ulleksa [173]
Because that ecosystem is covered in rocks and soil fragments. These fragments can be moved by the wind, water or even gravity.

These fragments can lead towards erosion and deposition. That is why people are trying to plant new grass and trees there so it won't get washed away when the next storm hits.

Hope this helped :)

emmasim [6.3K]

Researchers also measured oxygen consumption and intracellular NADH levels in BP-CML cells after exposure to pyrivinium. They most likely observed an increase in NADH levels and a decrease in O2 consumption.

Pyrivinium is an anti-helminthic drug effective against pinworms. The salts of pyrvinium can also be utilized as anticancer agents.

The findings of the study greatly favor a mechanism of pyrivinium which includes inhibition of mitochondrial respiration (MR). Since MR consumes oxygen, therefore, pyrivinium should reduce oxygen consumption.

NADH provides electrons to the electron transport chain (ETC). However, if the ETC is not operating properly, the NADH formed by the citric acid cycle would not be oxidized to NAD+ and H+. Therefore, NADH levels would increase ultimately.

Which of these hormones is countered by diuretics such as alcohol?
vichka [17]
The answer would be: antidiuretic hormone(ADH)

Alcohol will inhibit the secretion of antidiuretic hormone by the pituitary. Diuretic means an agent that causes urine production
As its name says, the antidiuretic hormone will reduce the production of urine. Since this hormone decreased by alcohol, the production of urine will be increased.
