Based on what you have read, if jasmine works at the supermarket, what is her opportunity cost?
fiasKO [112]

Answer:

The correct answer to this question is:  Missing out on playing basketball.

Opportunity cost can be defined as the next best alternative given up by choosing the best option. In this case if Jasmine decides to work at the supermarket, she is gaining, earning extra spending money, gaining job experience as well, so that’s a gain. However she is at the same time missing out on playing basketball. So that is her opportunity cost.

Do boycotts work in the modern world ?<br> Give relevant situations (real life application)
elena55 [62]
I guess the closest situation I can think of is the movement for gay rights or people of the LGTBQ. Being gay in America has for a long time been taboo and gays were not treated exceptionally. Marriage was considered between a man and woman and that was just how life was. But in 2015 gay marriage crossed the barriers and became a legal right in all states of the U.S. This took years of gay advocates and people boycotting and making a voice despite controversy.
