Answer:

∠CBD = 4(4) + 52°

              = 16° + 52°

              <u>= 68°</u>

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that,

∠ABC = 8x - 10°

∠CBD = 4x + 52°

Also,

∠ABD = 90°

∠ABD = ∠ABC + ∠CBD

∠ABD (90°) = (4x + 52°) + (8x - 10°)

∠ABD (90°) = 4x + 52° + 8x - 10°

∠ABD (90°) = (4x + 8x) + (52° - 10°)

∠ABD (90°) = 12x + 42°

90° - 42° = 12x

48° = 12x

\frac{48}{12} = x

4° = x

∠CBD =  4x + 52°

∴ ∠CBD = 4(4°) + 52°

              = 16° + 52°

              = 68°

1.The length of a ship model is 3% of the length of the actual ship. The model is 1.5 M long. How long is the actual ship? ____M
Vilka [71]
We have to find 100% of the number. We can use proportion to get it
3% -----------1.5m
100% -------- x
crossmultiply now
3*x=1.5*100
3x=150      /:3 divide both sides by 3
x=50m

2. Similar situation
40% ------------1000
100% -----------x
crossmultiply
40*x=100*1000
40x=100000      /:40
x=2500 - its the answer

Domain and range of the graph, is it a function?
Elenna [48]

Answer:

  • domain: [0, ∞)
  • range: (-∞, ∞)
  • not a function

Step-by-step explanation:

The arrows indicate the graph continues indefinitely in the direction indicated.

The domain is the horizontal extent, so is the interval from 0 to infinity, including 0.

The range is the vertical extent, so extends from negative infinity to positive infinity (all real numbers).

The graph does not pass the vertical line test: a vertical line intersects it in more than one place, so the relation is NOT a function.
