To know the acidity of a solution, we calculate the pH value. The formula for pH is given as:

pH = - log [H+] where H+ must be in Molar

We are given that H+ = 3.25 × 10-2 M

Therefore the pH is:

pH = - log [3.25 × 10-2]

pH = 1.488

Since pH is way below 7, therefore the solution is acidic.

To find for the OH- concentration, we must remember that the product of H+ and OH- is equivalent to 10^-14. Therefore,

[H+]*[OH-] = 10^-14
[OH-] = 10^-14 / [H+]

[OH-] = 10^-14 / 3.25 × 10-2

[OH-] = 3.08 × 10-13 M

Answers:

Acidic

[OH-] = 3.08 × 10-13 M

Calculate the average obtained from the following weighings of the same object. Do not forget to include formulas, units, and th
bazaltina [42]

Answer:

10.4376 g

Explanation:

First we calculate the sum of the weighings:

  • 10.4375 g + 10.4381 g + 10.4373 g + 10.4376 g = 41.7505 g

Then we divide the sum by the number of weighings to calculate the average:

  • Number of weighings = 4
  • Average = Sum of weighings / Number of weighings
  • 41.7505 g / 4 = 10.4376 g

Which of these equations is balanced? a. H2SO4 + 2Al → Al2(SO4)3 + H2 b. 2KCl + Pb(NO3)2 → 2KNO3 + PbCl2
Lapatulllka [165]
The answer is B, you just check if it is the same on the left and right side

A:
Left side - Right side
2xH - 2xH
1xS - 3xS
4xO - 12xO
2xAl - 2xAl

Therefore A is not correct

B:
Left side - right side
2xK - 2xK
1xCl - 1xCl
1xPb - 1xPb
2xN - 2xN
6xO - 6xO

B is therefore correct as both sides add up

A sample of nitrogen gas is stored in a 489.6 mL flask at 108 kPa and 10.0°C. The gas is transferred to a 750.0 mL flask at 28.7
Wewaii [24]

Answer:

P2= 125.26 Kpa

Explanation:

V1= 489.6 ml=0.4896L

V2= 750 ml= 0.750L

V1= 180 KPa= 180000 Pa

P2= ?

T1= 10 = 10 + 273.15 = 283.15K

T2= 28.7+273.15= 301.85K

180000Pa* 0.4896L/ 283.15K * 301.85K/0.75L

P2= 12526.28553

P2= 125.26 KPa
