It is true because of the hardness differences. if there are differences between other things they don't normally work like fitting a cube into a circle is kinda like trying to scratch something that has a higher hardness.

Is the answer B? Help
Masja [62]

Answer:

A

Explanation:

Hmm, so we have the following in the diagram

Pt(s)

Cl2(g)

Ag(s)

NaCl(aq)

AgNO3(aq)

Pt 2+, 4+, 6+ Though it states Pt is inert

Cl 2-

Ag 1+

Na 1+

NO3-

Anode definition: the positively charged electrode by which the electrons leave an electrical device.

Electrode definition: a conductor through which electricity enters or leaves an object, substance, or region.

Cations attracted to cathode pick up electrons

Anions attracted to anode release electrodes+

Reduction at Cathode (red cat gain of e)

Oxidation at Anode (ox anode loss of e)

So from the diagram we can see that the charge is being generated through the 2 metal plates.

So the answer is A, the anode material is Pt and the half reaction is 2Cl- = Cl2 + 2e-

In the reversible reaction: 2NO2 (g) ⇌ N2O4 (g) the formation of dinitrogen tetroxide releases heat and the formation of nitroge
xenn [34]

Answer: Option (B) is the correct answer.

Explanation:

According to Le Chatelier's principle, any disturbance causes in an equilibrium reaction will shift the equilibrium in a direction that will oppose the change.

For example, 2NO_{2}(g) \rightleftharpoons N_{2}O_{4}(g)

When we increase the temperature then the reaction will shift in a direction where there will be decrease in temperature.

This, means that the reaction will shift in the backward direction.

Thus, we can conclude that if the reaction is at equilibrium and the temperature increases, the equilibrium will shift so that there is more nitrogen dioxide.

Find the mass of 3.00 mol of acetic acid, C2H4O2
Alinara [238K]
Molar mass acetic acid:

C₂H₄O₂ = 12 * 2 + 1 * 4 + 16 * 2 = 60.

n = mass / molar mass

3.00 = m / 60.0

m = 3.00 * 60.0

m = 180 g of C₂H₄O₂

hope this helps!
