Hello!

That one inch is divided into eight even sections.

Look at the distance between where the insect's length ends and the "1". That space in between is how long each section is. It takes eight of those to make up one inch. The insect's length take up seven of the eight sections - almost an inch. So, the length of the insect is 7/8 in.

As for 0.875, that's the decimal form of the fraction. It means the same thing.

Answer:

Length: x + 5

Step-by-step explanation:

x² + 8x + 15 = length × width

x² + 8x + 15

x² + 5x + 3x + 15

x(x + 5) + 3(x + 5)

(x + 5)(x + 3)

Width: (x + 3)

Length: (x + 5)

Which of the binomials below is a factor of this trinomial?
mart [117]

Hi there! :)

Answer:

\huge\boxed{D, x -4}

---- Starting with: ----

x² - 10x + 24

Since we have a leading coefficient of 1, simply find two numbers that sum up to -10 and multiply into 24.

By guessing and checking, we get the numbers -6 and -4. Put these into factors:

(x - 6)(x - 4)

Therefore, a binomial present in factored form is D. x - 4

Therefore, the total costs for year 1 will be $2,240, for year 2 they will be $2,040, and for year 3 they will be $2,120.

Costs

Given that one of your company's salesmen estimates he will drive 20,000 miles this year and each of the next two years, and as the service manager for the company's fleet of six-cylinder compact automobiles, you are asked to determine the total costs for each of the three years, to determine said cost, the following calculation must be made:

 • Year 1:
 • 20000 x 0.112 = X
 • 2,240 = X

 • Year 2:
 • 20000 x 0.102 = X
 • 2,040 = X

 • Year 3:
 • 20000 x 0.106 = X
 • 2,120 = X

Therefore, the total costs for year 1 will be $2,240, for year 2 they will be $2,040, and for year 3 they will be $2,120.
