How are cells alike but different?

Physics

They all make up living things-- but they're diverse (like plant and animal cells). The most basic differences between cells are their organelles. Like how an animal cell doesn't have a cell wall, but a plant cell does. Or their shapes, even. Plant cells are like boxes or rooms and animals cells are circular and less rigid.

There are a number of similarities and differences between cells. Hope this helps.

If the star Alpha Centauri were moved to a distance 10 times farther than it is now, its parallax angle would
7nadin3 [17]

Answer:

decrease by a factor 10

Explanation:

The parallax angle of a close star is given by

p=\frac{1}{d}

where

p is the parallax angle

d is the distance of the star from Earth, in parsecs

From the formula we see that the parallax angle is inversely proportional to the distance.

In this problem, the distance of the star is increased by a factor 10:

d' = 10 d

so the new parallax angle would be

p'=\frac{1}{10 d}=\frac{1}{10}\frac{1}{d}=\frac{p}{10}

So, the parallax angle would decrease by a factor 10.

Is it true or false that the displacement always equals the product of the average velocity and the time interval?
Cloud [144]

Answer:

True.

Explanation:

  • Applying the definition of average velocity, we know that we can always write the following expression:

        v_{avg} = \frac{\Delta x}{\Delta t} (1)

  • By definition, Δx is just the displacement, and Δt is the time interval.
  • So, just rearranging terms in (1), we get:

        \Delta x} = v_{avg}* {\Delta t}
