ow much more chocolate does he get by picking the larger one?
Two pyramids. The rectangular pyramid has base 5 centimeters by 6 centimeters and height 10 centimeters. The triangular pyramid also has height 10 centimeters. The triangular base is 7.5 centimeters across the bottom and 8 centimeters tall.

A. It does not matter. The volumes of X and Y are equivalent.
B. He should choose Y, since he will get twice as much chocolate.
C. He should choose X, since he will get twice as much chocolate.
D. He should choose X, since he will get 10 times as much chocolate.

Answer:

A. It does not matter. The volumes of X and Y are equivalent.

Step-by-step explanation:

Volume of the pyramid = Base area × Height

For rectangular pyramid X:

Given Height of pyramid = 10cm

Base area = Length × Breadth

Base Area = 6cm×5cm = 30cm²

Volume = 10×30

Volume of the pyramid = 300cm²

For pyramid Y:

Given Height = 10cm

Base area = 1/2 base×height

Base area ,= 1/2 × 7.5×8

Base area = 30cm²

Volume of the triangular pyramid = 10×30 = 300cm³

We can see that the volume of X and Y is the same, therefore the type of chocolate Jeremy chose doesn't matter.

Find the surface area of the composite solid. round the answer to the nearest hundredth.
lubasha [3.4K]
The picture in the attached figure

[surface area of the composite solid]=1*(4*6)+2*(4*4)+2*(4*6)+2*(4*√13/2)+2*(6*2√2/2)
[surface area of the composite solid]=24+32+48+4√13+12√2
[surface area of the composite solid]=135.39 yd²

the answer is
135.39 yd²

Given: △KLM, LM=20 3
egoroff_w [7]

Split the triangle into a 30-60-90 triangle. Since you have LM from that triangle, you can figure out the other sides. Then, using the leg from that triangle, the one next to it is a 45-45-90 triangle, meaning it's isosceles.

KM = 30 + 10√3

KL = 10√6

(sorry i'm not too sure if my "reasons" for statement/reason is correct)
